A collective of the Salernitana ultras have released a statement regarding the FIGC’s rejection of Lazio president Claudio Lotito’s proposal.
As reported by Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, the group – made up of Direttivo Salerno, Centro Storico, Fedelissimi, Q.D.M., Vecchi Ultras 77, Old Clan C.C.S.C – discussed the Italian football federation’s rejection of Lotito’s proposal of selling the team to a trust.
In the letter, the Salernitana fans clarify that they are not on the side of either president Lotito nor FIGC president Gabriele Gravina.

Below is the full statement:
We have remained silent so that no one would exploit us.
The decisive deadlines have arrived.
No one is sorry for speaking out, it’s done for friends.
Know the following.
We will never shout Forza Gravina, the FIGC is a co-participant and co-conspirator in the timeshare, against which we have fought without it ever listening to us.
We will never shout down Gravina, Lotito does not deserve any backing, he will not find it.
The time has come when the problem is no longer just ours. Gravina and Lotito are drowning in the puddle of manure they themselves have produced, towards which we will not extend our hand. Whoever grasps it will make us dirty.
If it will be a trust, the timeshare problem will not be solved, and the line will not change. Protest and fight until the final, real sale, which will have to represent a clear break with the past.
We intend to be simple and straightforward about this. If those who intend to buy will confirm Fabiani and put in place any kind of management continuity with the past, they will be considered enemies of Salerno and will be treated as such. In this case, we will press the City Council to deny the Arechi.
Salerno’s politicians, of whatever party, are invited to remain silent, as they have done so far.
We are not considering what would happen in the event of non-enrolment, but trust us, you don’t want to know.
Now that you know what we think, let us know what you plan to do.

Lotito now needs to rapidly find a solution, or Salernitana will not be able to register for the next season of Serie A.
Two parties are reportedly interested; the first is led by Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani and the other is headed by UAE Sheik Sheikh Khaled Bin Zayed Al Nehayan.
Salernitana’s registration to Serie A is currently frozen and developments are expected over the coming days.
