Lazio have expressed their interest in FSV Mainz defender Jeremiah St. Juste.

As reported by German newspaper Bild (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, new Biancocelesti coach Maurizio Sarri has asked for another right-sided centre back to provide backup to Brazilian defender Luiz Felipe, with Stefan Radu playing second fiddle to the left-sided centre back.

The 24-year-old St. Juste, who is contracted to Mainz until 2023, has been identified as a possible option. Borussia Dortmund, Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen are all also keen on the player, who would cost around €15 million.

The Dutch defender made 32 Bundesliga appearances last season, for a total of 2880 minutes. In that time, he provided one assist, made 70 blocks and won 45 of his 72 tackles. He is also a creative player, averaging 0.81 shot-creating actions per 90.
