Lazio may open talks with Atalanta for winger Josip Ilicic soon, with coach Maurizio Sarri a big fan.
As reported by Italian newspaper Il Tempo (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the Biancocelesti are working on strengthening the squad this summer, with the system switching from a 3-5-2 to a 4-3-3.

Wingers are needed and one of the players appreciated by coach Sarri is the 33-year-old Ilicic. Atalanta are looking to sell the Slovenian forward this summer, with his contract set to expire next year in 2022.
AC Milan are also interested in signing Ilicic but Lazio still are considering opening talks with the Bergamo-based club soon.

Developments are expected over the coming days, as it will become clearer whether the Biancocelesti are trying for the 33-year-old Slovenian winger or not.
Ilicic, who has been with Atalanta since 2017, made 28 appearances last season for the Nerazzurri, for a total of 1526 minutes. In that time, he scored six goals and provided 10 assists.
