The 2021/22 campaign will see several new faces and tactics at Lazio.
Following the departure of Simone Inzaghi and the consequential appointment of former Napoli, Chelsea and Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri, there are set to be drastic changes to not only the squad’s personnel but also to the style of play the club will play.
As the transfer market is now open, President Claudio Lotito and Sporting Director will be hard at work to try and finalize deals for new players to fit Sarri’s plans; however, more importantly, they need to sort out destinations for some of the players that are out of the current project.
This not only includes players returning from loans but also the individuals that will not suit Sarri’s 4-3-3 or 4-3-1-2 formations, such as Joaquin Correa, Manuel Lazzari and Thomas Strakosha.
Below is a look at the complete list of when each Lazio player’s contract expires with the club. There are a total of 44 players:
- 20 of which will have their contracts expire in 2022,
- 10 of which will have their contracts expire in 2023,
- 8 of which will have their contracts expire in 2024,
- 5 of which will have their contracts expire in 2025, and
- 1 whose contract will expire in 2026.
