Following three years in Rome, it has been confirmed that Szymon Czyz will be leaving Lazio to return to play in Poland.
The 19-year-old has signed a three-year deal with Warta Poznań; his contract was set to expire this summer with the Biancocelesti.
During his time in Rome, Czyz played primarily with the Primavera team, making 68 appearances; however, he did make a single appearance for the senior team in a Champions League match against Club Brugge.
Warta Poznań Sporting Director, Robert Graf, stated that the club were very happy to secure Czyz as he is a “young, talented boy who has already made his debut in the Champions League, trained with the first team of Lazio and was in the first team’s squad for several Serie A matches.”
While the Polish midfielder received a contract extension from Lazio, he was intrigued by the opportunity to return to his home country and play with Warta Poznań.
