Cagliari are strongly interested in signing Lazio wing back Mohamed Fares, with Torino and Fiorentina also keen.
As reported by Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla earlier today, the Sardinian side have asked for detailed information about the 25-year-old Algerian wing-back, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2025.

The Rossoblu have underlined Fares as a strong transfer target this summer, with Cagliari coach Leonardo Semplici knowing the player well from their time together at SPAL.
Torino are also fans of the 25-year-old Fares but may struggle with paying the player’s €1.3 million salary; Fiorentina are monitoring the situation in the background, with Fares being one of many players being followed by the Viola.

Fares struggled to impress in his first season in Rome under previous coach Simone Inzaghi. The Algerian made 21 Serie A appearances for a total of 1138 minutes, providing only one assist in that time.
He also suffered from low physical fitness, missing multiple games due to injury and only playing a full 90 minutes three times last campaign.
