As reported by Italian newspaper La Repubblica (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti are looking to sign wingers that fit coach Maurizio Sarri’s 4-3-3 system, with German winger Julian Brandt being the club’s number one target.
Talks between the two clubs have been ongoing for some time now, and Borussia Dortmund are now open to a loan deal with a buy option attached for the 25-year-old.
This is good news for Lazio, although they still need to sell Argentinian forward Joaquin Correa first. Talks with Paris Saint-Germain are currently at a standstill but could be unlocked after the Copa America.
The 25-year-old Brandt, who is contracted to Dortmund until 2024, made 31 Bundesliga appearances last season, for a total of 1490 minutes. In that time, he scored three goals and provided two assists.
