Talks Between Lazio & PSG for Correa Have Stalled, Tottenham Still Keen

Talks between Paris Saint-Germain and Lazio regarding Joaquin Correa have hit a standstill.

As reported by Italian newspaper La Repubblica (via LazioNews24) earlier today, negotiations between the French giants and the Biancocelesti have been ongoing for a few weeks now, with Premier League side Tottenham also keen on the 26-year-old Argentinian forward.

Whilst a move to PSG could still come about for Correa, talks between the two clubs have stalled. The reason is because the French side’s offer didn’t fully convince the Roman club, who wanted to cash in as much as possible in order to fund other transfer targets.

With talks hitting a deadlock, Tottenham are looking to try and steal Correa from under PSG’s nose. It may be difficult for the North London club to satisfy Lazio’s requests, however, with president Claudio Lotito wanting around €35-40 million.

The 26-year-old Correa, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2024, made 28 Serie A appearances last season, for a total of 1945 minutes. In that time, he scored eight goals and provided four assists.
