Lazio have not yet submitted an offer for Bordeaux midfielder Toma Basic, despite reports in Italy.
As revealed exclusively to The Laziali by Bordeaux experts Girondinfos, no official offers have been submitted to the Ligue 1 side yet for the 24-year-old Croatian midfielder, even if reports from the Italian peninsula claim that a deal is close to completion.

Bordeaux has been provisionally relegated to Ligue 2 after the club’s major shareholder decided to withdraw. Businessman Gerard Lopez has prepared a project to take over the club and this has been presented to Ligue 1’s financial watchdog.

With Bordeaux’s appeal still ongoing, there will be no deal for Basic. The Croatian will only be sold to Lazio once the takeover has been completed, and the figures are set to differ from the ones often shared across the Italian press, which price Basic at around €10 million.
Developments are expected over the coming weeks, with Lazio still keen to secure Basic.
