As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero earlier today, the 27-year-old Danish full-back has returned to Rome following the conclusion of his loan spell with Salernitana, forcing the club to find a new home for him.
Durmisi could return to his native Denmark, with Aarhus interested in signing him. They could reach a deal with Lazio on the basis of a loan with a buy obligation attached.
The 27-year-old Durmisi, who joined the Biancocelesti in 2018, is contracted to the club until 2023, so time is running out if the club still want to earn a little from his departure.
Durmisi has hardly played football in the last two seasons. Last season, Durmisi made five Serie B appearances for Salernitana, for a total of 159 minutes. The season prior, the Dane made four Ligue 1 appearances for Nice, only playing 160 minutes.
