Lazio midfielder Luis Alberto did not take the usual pre-season medicals yesterday as he asked for a longer holiday.

As reported by Italian newspaper La Repubblica (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 28-year-old Spaniard failed to show up for the medical tests at the Paideia Clinic in Rome yesterday and is now risking being fined by the club.

The Spaniard told the club that he wanted a few more days off and didn’t want to make a fuss, but Lazio may still decide to punish him with a fine.

Luis Alberto is no stranger to tensions with the Biancocelesti management. Last season, he publicly complained on social media about the club’s decision to purchase a personalized Boeing 737, causing him to be dropped for the following game and forced to make an apology.
