Luis Alberto Absent for Third Consecutive Day, Lazio Set €50-60m Price Tag

Lazio midfielder Luis Alberto absent now for the third consecutive day, not leaving Rome with the squad this morning.

As reported by Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 28-year-old Spaniard has failed to respond to the pre-season call for the third consecutive day, not joining the squad as they departed Rome for Auronzo di Cadore.

The Biancocelesti are highly irritated by his behaviour, and whilst they haven’t made an official statement yet, they are furious.

Reports are now emerging that some clubs are preparing to make an offer to president Claudio Lotito in the coming weeks.

Atletico Madrid are rumored to be interested in him, whilst in recent days Villarreal have also been linked with the number 10.

Lazio want around €50-60 million for Luis Alberto but coach Maurizio Sarri wants to make the player a core part of his team, although the situation may force him to consider alternatives.
