Lazio midfielder Luis Alberto is expected to return to Rome next week.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 28-year-old Spaniard has still not responded to the pre-season call-up but has given his willingness to return next week on Wednesday 14th July.

Luis Alberto is at serious risk of being fined, even up to around €100,000, and could even be put on the transfer market, given how angry president Claudio Lotito is.

The Biancocelesti squad left yesterday morning for their training camp in Auronzo di Cadore, preparing for the new season with coach Maurizio Sarri.

The 28-year-old Spanish midfielder is still away with his family in Spain, being seen celebrating his wife’s birthday on social media the other day.

Luis Alberto is no stranger to disciplinary issues, with the most recent prior example coming last November. The 28-year-old Spaniard publicly complained on social media about delayed salary payments in response to Lazio’s purchase of a Boeing 737.
