Franco’s contract expired with Lazio at the start of this month, making him a free agent. The Roman-born defender was in the Biancocelesti youth setup for 13 years but now will look to make the jump into Serie B, where he’ll go through his first professional experience.

An official announcement is expected soon, with the 19-year-old Italian set to head down to the team’s pre-season training camp in Sarnano.
Franco made 47 appearances for the Biancocelesti’s Primavera squad, scoring 10 goals and providing one assist in that time. He never made a first-team appearance for the Roman club, with previous coach Simone Inzaghi not often placing his trust in young players.
