Sevilla, AC Milan & Juve All Keen on Lazio Star Luis Alberto, Journalist Longari Details

Transfer market expert Gianluigi Longari suggested that Lazio star Luis Alberto will stay have a place in Maurizio Sarri’s squad, despite the interest in him.

Speaking in an interview with The Italian Football Podcast yesterday, the Sportitalia journalist commented on the situation surrounding the 28-year-old Spaniard, who joined the pre-season retreat in Auronzo di Cadore a week later than his teammates.

We have to wait and see what happens, if Maurizio Sarri can change his mind like he did with Higuain at Napoli.

There are many clubs interested in him like Sevilla, AC Milan and Juventus but he has a long contract with Lazio and Lotito will ask for at least €40 million.

The 28-year-old Luis Alberto has found himself in yet another controversial situation, having ignored the pre-season call-up last week and only joining the squad in Auronzo on Wednesday of this week.

The Spaniard was all smiles on the training pitch yesterday and worked closely with coach Sarri, but his future could still possibly be far away from Rome.

One indication that Luis Alberto is planning to stay with the Biancocelesti is that he and his wife recently purchased a new house in the Italian capital.

His contract lasting until 2025 also makes a deal more difficult, especially considering that he has a 25% future resale clause attached that’ll go to Liverpool, meaning any swap deals are entirely off the table.
