An Unnamed Lazio Player Has Tested Positive for Covid-19 in Auronzo di Cadore

A Lazio Primavera player at the Auronzo di Cadore pre-season training camp has tested positive for Covid-19.

As reported by Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport earlier today, one of the Biancocelesti Primavera players tested positive for the contagion in the tests carried out ahead of this evening’s friendly. So far the player who returned the positive test has remained unnamed.

The entire Lazio squad will now carry out a new round of tests to see if there are any other positive infections in the squad.

The Biancocelesti are set to face local side Top 11 Radio Club 103 at 6:30 pm local time this evening and the match is still likely to go ahead, assuming no other positive cases are found within the Biancocelesti environment. 

Four Primavera players joined the first team in this summer’s pre-season preparations in Auronzo di Cadore. These players are Marco Bertini, Raul Moro, Florent Shehu, and Marco Alia. Under-18 midfielder Antonio Troise was also called up to the retreat.
