Lazio Must Close Sale of Correa to PSG Before Pursuing Other Transfer Targets

Lazio need to close out the sale of Joaquin Correa soon if they want to continue the pursuit of their various transfer targets.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 26-year-old Argentinian would like to leave the Roman club but president Claudio Lotito is not willing to lower his demands for the player.

Correa is valued at €35 million by Lazio but so far no club has come close to matching this figure. The most active suitor currently is Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain, who have offered Spanish winger Pablo Sarabia and €18 million in exchange for the 26-year-old Argentine forward.

President Lotito, however, would like to have as much liquid cash as possible in order to immediately re-invest the money into signing other reinforcements.

Lazio are hoping to close out the sale in the next few days as otherwise, they risk the deal with PSG collapsing, leaving Correa in Rome.
