Italian businessman Claudio Lotito became the president of Lazio 17 years ago today.

As seen in a post on Lazio’s Instagram page earlier today, the 64-year-old Italian took over on 19th July 2004, helping to save the club after they came dangerously close to bankruptcy following the collapse of Sergio Cragnotti’s Cirio company.
