Some Lazio Ultras Met With the Club & Hysaj Following His Singing of Bella Ciao

Some Lazio ultras met with the club and new signing Elseid Hysaj to demand an explanation of his decision to sing ‘Bella Ciao’ on Saturday night.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 27-year-old Albanian full-back sung the famous partisan song for his initiation after the Biancocelesti’s 10-0 friendly win over local side Radio Club on Saturday.

Hysaj sang the song because he is a fan of the Spanish TV series La Casa del Papel, which made the song famous worldwide and not because of any political sentiment.

Some ultras present in Auronzo di Cadore first spoke to the club and then arrived at the hotel for a meeting. There was a face-to-face talk, with some representatives of the General Investigations and Special Operations Division (DIGOS) present.

The meeting clarified everything and calmed the tensions, with the videos being taken off of social media, possibly on the instructions of the club.
