Correa May Stay With Lazio as Talks With PSG Have Stalled

Lazio forward Joaquin Correa may remain in Rome as talks with Paris Saint-Germain have stalled.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Tempo (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Ligue 1 giants are keen to sign the 26-year-old Argentinian forward and have offered the Biancocelesti €18 million and Spanish winger Pablo Sarabia.

Lazio are not happy with this offer, with the club wanting to generate as much money as possible from the sale of Correa in order to reinvest the money in other transfer targets this summer, such as Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Brandt.

Talks between Lazio and PSG have now stalled and there’s a chance that he will remain with the Biancocelesti for the foreseeable future.

The 26-year-old Correa, who is contracted to Lazio until 2024, has asked the club for a transfer this summer. The player does not comfortably fit in coach Maurizio Sarri’s 4-3-3 system, although he could be adapted in a wide role.
