Banner in Support of Lazio Full-Back Hysaj Seen Outside Stadio Olimpico

A banner in support of new Lazio signing Elseid Hysaj has appeared in front of the Stadio Olimpico.

As reported by Italian media outlet LazioNews24 earlier today, the Biancocelesti fans are showing their support for the 27-year-old Albanian full-back following the controversy surrounding his decision to sing Bella Ciao for his initiation song last week.

A banner appeared in Rome earlier this week calling Hysaj a “worm” and stating that Lazio “is fascist”, which is caused outrage amongst the Biancocelesti fans, who have started using the hashtag #IoStoConHysaj (I am with Hysaj) on Twitter to show their support.

Seen outside the Stadio Olimpico today was a banner in support of the player, saying “Daje Hysaj” (Come on Hysaj). This photo can be seen below.

Many Lazio fans are unhappy with the fact that the club and their supporters are still being associated with fascists, with a few of the ultra groups being known for their far-right sentiments.
