Fiorentina are open to sending away Jose Callejon on loan this summer, with Lazio a possible destination for the player.
As reported by Italian newspaper La Nazione (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the Viola do not consider the player to be key in Vincenzo Italiano’s squad and want to free themselves of the 34-year-old Spaniard’s hefty wages.

Fiorentina are open to a loan deal for Callejon, with his contract set to expire next year in 2022.
A few weeks ago, Lazio approached the 34-year-old Callejon, appreciating his tactical flexibility and knowledge of new coach Maurizio Sarri’s 4-3-3 system.

Therefore, the Spaniard could represent a low-cost option for the Biancocelesti this summer, although the club still need to resolve their liquidity ratio issue before they can secure the player.
Callejon made 20 Serie A appearances last season, for a total of 654 minutes. In that time, he provided one assist, making only six starts in the league all campaign.
