Lazio may sign free agent Franck Ribery on a free transfer this summer.
As reported by Italian media outlet Calciomercato.com earlier today, Biancocelesti sporting director Igli Tare is interested in the idea of signing the 38-year-old French winger, who is currently a free agent following his contract expiry with Fiorentina last month.

Rumours have consistently linked the Roman club with Viola winger Jose Callejon, but Tare is more convinced by Ribery instead, considering the player a better fit.

Ribery would still like to stay in Italy and his experience could prove incredibly beneficial for Lazio, especially if youngster Raul Moro works closely with the former Bayern Munich man.
The 38-year-old Ribery made 29 Serie A appearances last season for Fiorentina, for a total of 2170 minutes. In that time, he scored two goals and provided seven assists, proving that he can still perform in the Italian topflight. He missed six games through injury last campaign.
