Lazio have expressed interest in Fiorentina defender German Pezzella.
As reported by Italian newspaper La Nazione (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti have been scouting the 30-year-old Argentinian defender for some time now and believe that he could be the right option to strengthen coach Maurizio Sarri’s defence this summer.

The 30-year-old Pezzella was part of the Argentina squad that won the Copa America this summer and is the captain of the Viola, being a core part of the squad for the last few seasons.
No negotiations between the two clubs have started yet, but the player is held in high regard by sporting director Igli Tare.

Pezzella’s contract expires with Fiorentina next year in 2022, which may help the Roman club secure the player for a lower price.
The 30-year-old Argentinian defender made 32 Serie A appearances last season, for a total of 2748 minutes. In that time, he scored one goal, provided two assists, and helped the club keep six clean sheets.
