Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi is excited to work under new coach Maurizio Sarri.
Speaking in an interview with Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.com last night, the 33-year-old Italian defender first spoke about how it felt to win Euro 2020 with the Azzurri.
As European champions you feel good.
Mancini is a great coach and a great manager, he entertained us.
He then made a brief comment about Lazio and Azzurri teammate Ciro Immobile.
He’s top.
Finally, Acerbi spoke about new Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri, who replaced previous coach Simone Inzaghi.
I’m intrigued by him, he’s a great coach and now we have to think about next season.

Contracted to Lazio until 2023, Acerbi made 32 Serie A appearances last campaign, for a total of 2815 minutes. In that time, he provided one assist and helped the side keep 10 clean sheets.
The player will be a core part of Sarri’s defence, likely lining up alongside Brazilian centre back Luiz Felipe in the four-man defence, a departure from the previous three-man defence used by Inzaghi.
