Lazio’s interest in Juventus defender Daniele Rugani is still alive and talks could intensify in the coming weeks.
As reported by Italian newspaper Il Tempo (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti are still looking to provide coach Maurizio Sarri more reinforcements ahead of next season’s Serie A campaign, and are keen to strengthen the defence this summer.

Sarri asked the 26-year-old Rugani if he was keen to join the club, wanting to be reunited with the Bianconeri centre-back.
The 62-year-old Italian coach launched Rugani’s career in Empoli, giving the Italian defender his Serie A debut, and so the pair know each other well.

Talks could become more concrete over the coming weeks, with sporting director Igli Tare hard at work to find the right reinforcements for the squad.
Rugani had a tough season last campaign, spending time on loan with both Ligue 1 side Rennes as well as Cagliari, struggling to impress with either side.
