Lazio Squad & Staff to Take Their Second Covid-19 Vaccine in Rome Next Month

The Lazio squad and staff will take their second Covid-19 vaccine next month in Rome.

As reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the Biancocelesti players all took their first Covid-19 vaccine yesterday in Auronzo di Cadore, with president Claudio Lotito confirming that any reports of anti-vax sentiments were false.

The players and staff will now need to wait before taking the second dose, which is required to be almost fully protected from Covid-19.

The second dose will be given to the Lazio players and staff in Rome at some point next month, respecting any possible football commitments in that time, but also staying within the time-sensitive deadline.

Unlike in the Premier League, vaccines are not yet mandatory for players in Serie A, although this could change over time. Fans will need to be fully vaccinated and show their Green Pass if they want to attend matches next season, however.
