Lazio are interested in signing VfL Wolfsburg winger Josip Brekalo this summer.
As reported by Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla last night, the Biancocelesti are looking to acquire a new winger for coach Maurizio Sarri and his 4-3-3 system, with a gap still in the squad. The 23-year-old Croatian midfielder has been identified as a strong option.

A few years ago, fellow Serie A side Sampdoria approached Brekalo, but talks collapsed and he stayed in Germany. In recent days, foreign reports have linked him with Fiorentina but nothing concrete has taken place so far.
The 23-year-old Brekalo has technical quality, talent, is quick and would be perfect for Sarri’s 4-3-3.
Brekalo would cost less than €20 million, earns around €2 million net per season and could be signed on a loan deal with a buy obligation attached, which is key for Lazio considering their issues with the liquidity ratio blocking any signings currently.

Developments are expected over the coming weeks, with Lazio keeping a close eye on the Croatian winger, who can play on both the left and right sides of a front three.
Brekalo scored seven goals and provided three assists in 29 Bundesliga appearances last season.
