Lazio team manager Angelo Peruzzi will officially leave the club today.
As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 51-year-old former goalkeeper made his decision to leave the Biancocelesti last week and will put pen to paper today to terminate his contract, which is set to expire in 2023.

Peruzzi is leaving because of a lack of autonomy, wanting more power in decisions. The lack of response from the club upset the 51-year-old, especially considering that he has been with the club since the summer of 2016.

The relationship between Lazio and Peruzzi soured last year, following Spanish midfielder Luis Alberto’s public complaints about delayed salary payments, which almost saw the team manager leave mid-season.
Biancocelesti president Claudio Lotito is working on building a strong project in Rome following the departure of previous coach Simone Inzaghi and so will have to find a new team manager soon.
