Lazio midfielder Gonzalo Escalante was happy with the team’s progress in their pre-season training camp.
Speaking in an interview with Italian broadcaster Lazio Style Channel (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 28-year-old Argentinian midfielder commented on the work of the squad in Auronzo di Cadore over the last few weeks.
I think it was a positive retreat for us, even if we have to understand what the coach asks of us, but we did well.
I get on well with Sarri, everyone knows him.
Escalante then discussed his future and the team’s plans for the coming weeks.
I want to give everything I can here and I’m happy to be working with him.
Tomorrow we go back to Rome and we’ll see how it goes in Germany, but we’re happy.
