Former Fenerbahce interim coach Emre Belozoglu may still join coach Maurizio Sarri’s staff at Lazio.
As reported by Turkish media outlet SportsDigitale earlier today, rumours earlier this summer linked the 40-year-old Turk with a role in Sarri’s staff, but things down died in recent weeks.

The latest reports, however, suggest that Belozoglu may still become one of Sarri’s assistants after having a falling out with the Turkish national team coach Senol Gunes, who had offered the 40-year-old a job.
Belozoglu retired as a player in 2020, moving into a sporting director role at the Turkish club last year. He spent a few months working in this role before becoming the club’s interim coach following the dismissal of Erol Bulut.

The 40-year-old Turk has since left this role, with Vitor Pereira becoming the new permanent head coach.
Belozoglu is fluent in Italian, having spent four years of his playing career with Inter from 2001 to 2005.
