The Lazio squad are currently on a short holiday before regrouping in Formello on Saturday.

As reported by Italian media outlet LazioNews24 earlier today, the Biancocelesti players are having a short break after a tiring pre-season training camp in Auronzo di Cadore under new coach Maurizio Sarri.

The squad will be able to relax and rest with their families and friends until Saturday, when they will regroup at the training centre in Formello before heading off together for another short pre-season retreat in Marienfeld, Germany.

The players will be joined in Formello by Ciro Immobile, Francesco Acerbi and Joaquin Correa, all of whom had longer holidays after their various international commitments.

Lazio will spend around a week in Germany, from the 2nd to 8th August, before beginning the preparations for the first game of the season against newly-promoted Empoli on the evening of 21st August.

It is possible that they will play at least one or two more friendlies in that time, although nothing has been announced.
