Lazio have identified Cagliari centre back Sebastian Walukiewicz as a possible option to strengthen their defence, amidst doubts about Denis Vavro.
As reported by Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti are working to sell a player or two to unblock their incoming transfer window, allowing them to acquire reinforcements for coach Maurizio Sarri’s squad.

One player that Sarri is unsure about is Slovakian defender Denis Vavro, who did not particularly impress in the pre-season training camp in Auronzo di Cadore.
Due to this, Lazio may look to provide Sarri with another centre-back, with the 21-year-old Walukiewicz being spied as a possible option.

Udinese are also keen to sign a new defender and are strongly interested in the Polish centre back, with Liverpool also appreciating the player.
Contracted to Cagliari until 2024, the 21-year-old Walukiewicz made 19 Serie A appearances last season, for a total of 1618 minutes. In that time, he provided one assist and helped the side keep two clean sheets.
