Lazio Primavera Midfielder Bertini Was One of the Surprises in Auronzo Training Camp

Lazio Primavera midfielder Marco Bertini was one of the surprises of the Auronzo di Cadore pre-season training camp.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 18-year-old Italian midfielder impressed everyone during the retreat in Auronzo, most notably coach Maurizio Sarri and his staff.

The Italian teenager is now enjoying a few days of rest before re-joining the Primavera team for their training camp in Celleno.

Bertini will be at the disposal of Primavera coach Alessandro Calori, but he can be promoted to the first team if needed.

The 18-year-old Italian has shown his ability to play as both a defensive midfielder and a regista, and is tied to Lazio until 2024.

Bertini signed a three-year contract with the Biancocelesti back in January, his first professional contract, and the club believe that he can be a key player in the future.

The teenager made 29 Primavera 1 appearances last season, for a total of 2448 minutes. In that time, he scored one goal and provided three assists.
