Lazio forward Vedat Muriqi is in Istanbul for personal reasons, not to sign for Fenerbahce.
As reported by Kosovan football journalist Arlind Sadiku on Twitter last night, the 27-year-old Kosovan forward is currently on a short holiday following the conclusion of the Biancocelesti’s pre-season training camp in Auronzo di Cadore earlier this week and is now in Turkey.

Rumours this week suggested that Muriqi was in Istanbul as he was looking for a return to Super Lig giants Fenerbahce, but this has been ruled out by the SuperSport journalist, who suggests that he’s there for his own personal reasons.

The 27-year-old Muriqi performed well in the pre-season training camp in Auronzo, with coach Maurizio Sarri working hard to ensure his adaption to the new tactical system.
The 62-year-old Italian coach was also seen defending the player from fans, telling them that any negative comments or boos towards him would see them be kicked out of the facility.
