Lazio sporting director Igli Tare highlighted that the club still want to sign more players before the end of the transfer window.
Speaking in an interview with Italian broadcaster TgR Lazio (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Albanian sporting director first commented on the work being done to improve the squad.
We can get very far, we have completely transformed the team. A new idea of play, a new coach, a new mentality. So the premises are good.
We are still an open building site, I hope until the end of August to give the squad the right shape. I think Lazio will be a key player in the Italian league next season.
Tare then touched on the amount of Albanian players within the squad and if there was a reason.
It’s not by chance, it’s a question of trust. I know them very well as players and I thought they could be good for us.
Hysaj was an established player even before coming to Lazio.

The top player on the outgoing market is Argentinian forward Joaquin Correa, but Paris Saint-Germain’s interest has waned, so other options will need to be found if the 26-year-old is to be sold this summer.
Lazio have multiple players on their list of possible reinforcements, including Bordeaux midfielder Toma Basic and VfL Wolfsburg winger Josip Brekalo.
