Correa Will Join the Squad in Marienfeld but Has Asked Lazio to Sell Him

Lazio forward Joaquin Correa will join the team for the retreat in Marienfeld but has asked to be sold this summer.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 26-year-old Argentinian striker joined the squad at Formello on Saturday and took part in the training session regularly, returning from an extended holiday after his international commitments.

Correa asked the club to sell him at the end of last season and has reiterated that desire, still wanting a change of scenery.

The Lazio squad will meet up with coach Maurizio Sarri today in Formello and they’ll head off to Germany together, flying to Dortmund before travelling to Marienfeld by coach.

Sarri is waiting for Correa, dreaming of an attacking trident containing the Argentinian, Ciro Immobile and Felipe Anderson, and so he’ll try to convince the player to stay.

Talks with Paris Saint-Germain have stalled and the interest from the Premier League hasn’t resulted in any serious talks recently. Inter may also look to sign the 26-year-old, should Lautaro Martinez leave the club this summer.
