Frosinone Interested in Signing Unneeded Lazio Defender Tiago Casasola

Serie B side Frosinone are interested in signing Lazio defender Tiago Casasola this summer.

As reported by Italian newspaper L’inchiesta earlier today, the 25-year-old Argentinian defender has returned to Rome this summer upon the conclusion of his loan spell with Salernitana, where he has played multiple times in the last few years.

Due to the rules of the trust imposed on Salernitana by the Italian football federation, Lazio are not allowing to do any dealings with the Campania-based squad this summer, meaning a new home must be found for a variety of unneeded Biancocelesti players, including Casasola.

The 25-year-old Casasola has attracted the attention of Serie B side Frosinone, who want to strengthen their backline. A deal won’t be too easy, however, given the bad relationship between Lazio president Claudio Lotito and the Giallazzurri.

However, Lazio need to sell players in order to unblock their liquidity ratio and so may be more open to reaching a deal.
