Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri believes in midfielder Danilo Cataldi and expects the player to impress next season.

The 62-year-old Italian coach can give Cataldi the next step in quality and he believes him to be the perfect alternative to Spanish midfielder Luis Alberto, with the Italian having a good game sense, dribbling and technique.

During the pre-season training camp in Auronzo di Cadore, he acted as Luis Alberto’s shadow and in Marienfeld he will fulfill the same role.

Cataldi has spent his entire professional career contracted to Lazio, only leaving for a few brief loan spells with Crotone, Genoa and Benevento. The 26-year-old is a native of Rome and is a fan of the Biancocelesti.
