Talks Over Correa Continuing Between Lazio and Inter, Everton & Leicester City

Talks between Lazio and Inter, Everton and Leicester City for forward Joaquin Correa are currently ongoing.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the forward’s agent (Alessandro Lucci) is currently negotiating with the three interested clubs and is hoping to close out a deal with one of them over the next couple of weeks.

Lazio want around €30 million for the 26-year-old Correa; he asked the club for a move away at the end of the 2020/21 season, and this has been a wish that was reiterated upon returning to Rome following his summer break.

The sale of Correa would be incredibly beneficial for the Biancocelesti, as it would solve their issues with the liquidity ratio. This would allow them to sign new players, with targets like Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostic and Bordeaux’s Toma Basic long linked to the club.

Coach Maurizio Sarri is hoping for the arrival of some new reinforcements before the end of this transfer window, not being fully impressed by the performance of the squad this pre-season.
