Agent Mateja Kezman: “Kamenovic Will Stay at Lazio 100%”

Mateja Kezman, agent of Lazio defender Dimitrije Kamenovic, has silenced any rumours that the defender will be leaving the club this month.

Speaking in an interview with Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 42-year-old Serbian agent, who also represents Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Adam Marusic, commented on the rumours that Kamenovic would be leaving on loan this summer.

Kamenovic will stay at Lazio 100%. He is young and he will grow. He has many qualities; he is the captain of the Serbian Under-21 team.

Many requests were made for the player; it’s not true that he was signed by Lazio in January. He signed his contract in July.

He’ll play in Rome next season. We haven’t received any different signals from Lazio.

Rumours are beginning to circulate that the 21-year-old Kamenovic will be sent away on loan this summer in order to free up one of the two non-EU player slots in the Lazio squad, which would then allow the Biancocelesti to sign Eintracht Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic.

The other non-EU player is Felipe Anderson, who will be a central part of coach Maurizio Sarri’s squad in Rome.

Kamenovic failed to fully impress coach Maurizio Sarri in the pre-season retreat in Auronzo di Cadore and is unlikely to receive many first-team minutes next season.
