Inter Thinking of Signing Roma’s Dzeko & Lazio’s Correa to Replace Departing Lukaku

Inter’s top target to replace the departing Romelu Lukaku is Roma’s Edin Dzeko and they may sign Lazio’s Joaquin Correa as well.

As reported by Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Nerazzurri have agreed to a €115 million deal with Chelsea for the transfer of the 27-year-old Lukaku, meaning that they need to find some new forwards before the transfer window closes at the end of this month.

One of their most concrete targets is Roma veteran Edin Dzeko, with Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata and Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic both being considered too expensive.

The Bosnian striker may not be the only forward that Inter sign, however, as they may also decide to push for a second striker for coach Simone Inzaghi, with Lazio forward Correa being his preferred option.

Correa asked for a transfer away from Lazio at the end of last season and would be happy to join Inter, being reunited with the 45-year-old Italian coach.

Developments are expected over the coming weeks, with the transfer window closing at the end of August.
