12 years ago today, Davide Ballardini’s Lazio beat Jose Mourinho’s Inter 2-1 to win the Supercoppa Italiana in Beijing.
As seen in a post on Lazio’s Instagram page earlier today, the Biancocelesti lifted their third ever Supercoppa Italiana exactly 12 years ago today in the Beijing National Stadium in China, beating the Nerazzurri 2-1.

Lazio forward Matuzalem scored the opener in the 63rd minute before captain Tommaso Rocchi found the back of the net three minutes later to double the Biancocelesti’s lead. Samuel Eto’o scored in the 77th minute, but Inter couldn’t find an equaliser, securing Lazio’s victory.
