Crucial Week for Lazio as They Look To Close Out Deals for Basic & Kostic

This week will be fundamental for Lazio as they look to close out deals for Bordeaux’s Toma Basic and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostic.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti have reached agreements for both players but are still blocked by the liquidity ratio, and so this week will be crucial as they look to resolve the issue and finalise their new signings.

Coach Maurizio Sarri has been waiting for Basic and Kostic’s arrival for a while now, wanting the reinforcements to strengthen the squad ahead of the start of the new Serie A season.

For Basic, Lazio will pay Bordeaux €7 million plus €1.5 million in add-ons, with the player set to be the replacement for the ageing Lucas Leiva.

Eintracht Frankfurt will receive €1.5 million for the loan deal for Kostic, with an obligation to buy clause attached set at around €20-22 million.

The Croatian midfielder will be paid €1.4 million net per season for five years, whilst the Serbian winger will be offered a five-year deal worth €2.2 million net per season.
