Everton forward James Rodriguez has been offered to Lazio by his agent Jorge Mendes.
As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, many names have been circulating around Formello over the last few days, with coach Maurizio Sarri looking for another forward before the end of this month.
The 30-year-old Rodriguez is destined to leave Everton this month, with his contract expiring next year in 2022. The Colombian only joined the Toffees to be reunited with coach Carlo Ancelotti, who has since left to join Real Madrid, leaving the player stranded in the northwest of England.

Lazio appreciated Rodriguez but there are some problems that need to be resolved first, such as the club’s issues with the liquidity ratio. One relief is that the 30-year-old Colombian holds a Spanish passport (via Marca) and so will not take up a non-EU slot in the squad.

Developments are expected in the coming days and weeks, but it’s hard to imagine Rodriguez joining Lazio this month, especially considering that their top target is Eintracht Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic.
