Lazio Approach PSG for Draxler, Who Can Be Signed on a Loan Deal

Lazio have approached Paris Saint-Germain for German forward Julian Draxler.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti have expressed their interest in the 27-year-old German forward, who is unlikely to gain many minutes this season considering the arrival of global superstar Lionel Messi in the French capital.

For this reason, PSG are willing to send away Draxler on loan and even pay half of his salary, a sensational opportunity for Lazio, especially considering that the growth decree would lower the costs even more.

Lazio are looking to provide coach Maurizio Sarri with another winger or forward this month, with limited options in the department outside of Felipe Anderson and youngsters Raul Moro and Luka Romero.

The 27-year-old Draxler, who is contracted to PSG until 2024, made 24 Ligue 1 appearances last season, for a total of 1061 minutes. In that time, he scored four goals and provided three assists.
