Inter May Close Out Deal for Lazio Forward Correa Next Week With Agreement Close

Lazio forward Joaquin Correa may finally get his move to Inter next week.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the two clubs have been in close talks in recent days and are incredibly close to reaching a full agreement regarding the costs of the deal.

Biancocelesti president Claudio Lotito wanted around €40 million but Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta was only willing to offer around half that.

Now it seems likely that an agreement will be reached for around €30 million plus add-ons, which will completely solve Lazio’s issue with the liquidity ratio.

If the deal is not closed by the day after tomorrow then Lotito will look to register the new signings through other means, like taking out a loan through his holding company Lazio Events SRL.

The 27-year-old Correa asked Lazio for a move away from the club twice in the last few months and would be happy to join Inter, being reunited with coach Simone Inzaghi.
