Lazio midfielder Lucas Leiva was happy to see the fans again in yesterday’s 1-1 draw with Sassuolo in the final pre-season friendly.
The 34-year-old Brazilian midfielder played well in the match, starting alongside Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro in the midfielder.

Leiva commented on the match in a post on his Instagram page last night, saying:
Work is the only way to create something special. Preparation over, now another week to prepare well for the return of Serie A.
It’s great to see the fans back at the stadium.

The 34-year-old Leiva is set to be a key part of Sarri’s Lazio squad next season, although possible new arrival Toma Basic could muscle his way into the squad.
