Serie B side Alessandria are prepared to open talks with Lazio for redundant forward Simone Palombi.
As reported by Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla last night, the Serie B side are looking to provide coach Moreno Longo with a specific type of forward, and believe that the 25-year-old Lazio striker fits that bill.
Talks between Lazio and Alessandria may begin in the next few days, with only around two weeks remaining in the summer transfer window.

Lazio need to find new homes for multiple redundant players, who cannot return to Salernitana this season due to the rules surrounding their registration to Serie A and are working hard on outgoing market operations.

Contracted to Lazio until 2022, Palombi made 34 Serie B appearances for Pisa on loan last season, for a total of 1624 minutes. In that time, he scored four goals and provided one assist.
Palombi is a product of Lazio’s youth system but only ever made three first-team appearances for the Roman club.
