Former Fenerbahce sporting director Emre Belozoglu seems set to join Maurizio Sarri’s coaching staff at Lazio next month.
As reported by Turkish media outlet Sabah.com earlier today, the former Inter and Newcastle midfielder was set to join the Turkish national team as assistant coach to Senol Gunes, but negotiations did not go well and now the idea is off the table.
Rumours from Turkey have been linking Belozoglu with a move to the Biancocelesti for the entire summer, and now it seems likely that the 40-year-old Turk will take up a role in Sarri’s staff next month in September.
